Mills Station Arts & Culture Center (MACC)

The MACC - Mills Station Arts & Culture Center

The MACC Features exhibits by local artists, workshops, history displays, cultural demonstrations, musical performances and more. These thought provoking displays and events are meant to inspire deeper exploration and greater understanding, just like in a science lab, in addition to providing high-quality art experiences and entertainment. Built in 1911, the Mills Station Building has always been a meeting place for the community and a stopping place for travelers. Now, it is all that and more as it comes alive as the MACC.

Supported by a grant from the Rancho Cordova Community Enhancement & Investment Fund, the MACC returns as a lab for the arts in 2024 with a concoction of captivating topics:

  • Sorting Out Race: Examining racial identity and sterotypes in thrift store donations.
  • Fire, Fury & Resilience: Giving form to local and global events reshaping our lives.
  • 5th Annual Student Show: Works by the next generation of Rancho Cordova artists.
  • Pure Imagination: Discarded objects recycled, reused and re-imagined into new art.
  • Micro Masterpieces: RC Arts yearly fundraiser to supply local classrooms with art supplies.
  • 6th Annual Rancho Cordova Arts Members Show: Just what it sounds like – your friends and neighbors star in this exhibit.
  • Length x Width x Height: A multidimensional experience.
  • Sac Open Studios: Rancho Cordova artists of the Sac Open Studios tour.
  • Prism Play: A full spectrum of art quilts.
  • 58th Annual National Mother Lode Exhibit: The MACC hosts this prestigious national show and features many local artists.
  • Winter Art Fest 2024: Local artists provide the ease of giving just in time for the holidays!
